Construction Completed on Edwardsville U.S. GAIN CNG Station

Article Posted: 2015-06-11

Endpoint recently completed design and construction of a compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicle fueling station in Edwardsville, Illinois for U.S. GAIN Clean Fuel, a division of U.S. Venture, Inc.  This CNG station, located just east of the St. Louis, Missouri metro area is the largest GAIN Clean Fuel station built to date.  This station was built under an agreement with Unilever through which Unilever has committed to purchase 800,000 gallons of CNG per year through U.S. GAIN.  This station will also be open to other companies and the general public for vehicle fueling.

To meet tight deadlines for operation set by U.S. GAIN and Unilever, Endpoint fast-tracked the design, permitting and construction for this project and had the system on-line within 6 months of authorization.

CNG produces less emissions than its diesel fuel equivalent.  It also provides a cost savings when compared with the diesel fuel equivalent and is domestically produced, which insulates it from the price volatility inherent in other fuel options.

With the completion of this St. Louis area location, Endpoint continues to help U.S. GAIN work towards its goal of having more than 100 GAIN Clean Fuel stations in operation through North America within the next two years.  Endpoint has also recently completed work for U.S. GAIN on locations in Gary, Indiana, and Green Bay, Sturtevant and Middleton, Wisconsin.  Endpoint has several additional locations in progress for U.S. GAIN.
